Questions every cafe has asked.

What happens to my data — menu, photos, customer info?
Your data never leaves your hands. We build the site from what you give us — photos, menu, copy. We don't collect customer data on your behalf, don't store anything on third-party platforms, and have no access to your POS or booking system. The site is a static file on Cloudflare's CDN. No database, nothing to breach. If PDPA compliance is a concern for your management, we'll send a one-page data handling summary on request.
Can I see it before I pay anything?
Yes. We build a full preview site — your cafe, your brand, real content — before you commit. You get a live URL to share with your team or management. If you don't love it, we don't charge. The work in the portfolio above is exactly what the preview looks like.
I already have a Squarespace — why would I pay you?
Most Squarespace sites look like every other Squarespace site, which is the first thing a regular notices. Mitra sites look like the cafe. They load faster, rank higher on local SEO, and don't need you to log in. If you're happy with what you have, stay — we're expensive.
Why a monthly fee instead of a one-time build?
Because cafes change. Menus, hours, seasonal lots, new staff. A one-time build rots in six months. The fee covers running the site, not just building it — the same way you pay your accountant monthly instead of "one time."
What happens if I want to leave?
We hand over the full HTML, DNS, and domain. You own everything from day one. The only thing you lose is us. No lock-in, no proprietary CMS, no exit fee.
How much will this disrupt our daily operations?
Almost nothing. The intro call is 20 minutes. We gather assets (photos, menu, brand notes) over WhatsApp at your pace — no forms, no briefs, no back-and-forth emails. Most owners spend under 2 hours total before launch. After that, you send a message when something changes — we handle the rest within 48 hours.
I need to check with my business partner / management first.
Makes sense. We'll send a one-page summary — what it costs, what we build, what you own, how to cancel — formatted for someone who hasn't seen the site yet. Most partners approve after seeing the preview. Send us the cafe name and we'll prepare one.
Do you work with cafes outside Singapore / KL / Indonesia?
Not yet. The studio is physically between Singapore and Bandung, so regional time zones let us turn around edits within a workday. Bangkok, Saigon, Manila — get in touch, we're watching.
Do you do restaurants, bars, or bakeries?
Occasionally bakeries or natural-wine bars, but only through cafe referrals. Restaurants no — different rhythm, different economics.
